Welcome to the Didgey Trucker's Railfan Photos page.

This page is about my Railfan Photographs

The Norfolk Southern Railway used to operate a Steam Excursion Program with three steam engines form the Southern Railway and the Norfolk and Western Railway. This is the N&W's #611 J-Class steam engine pulling an excursion train into Asheville, North Carolina in 1993.

Here is the same train on its return trip. It has left Asheville and is in the middle of "The Loops" between Swannannoa and Olde Fort on the Eastern slope of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Here the 611 and it's train are approaching Andrew's Geyser.
