I started saving images of American Racing Equipment wheels for my own study in 2002, mostly from ebay auctions.  I would like to thank the many un-named ebay sellers whose photos I have posted here.
I would also like to mention ebay seller "torqthrust.terry", also known as "Mr. Torq Thrust" who also restores and sells vintage American Racing Equipment wheels and accessories.

This is an early 60's first generation American Racing Equipment Magnesium 15x7 Torq Thrust.  Note the round spokes and no lip.
This is the mid 60's second generation American Racing Equipment Magnesium 15x8.5".  Note the "A" shaped spokes and the small lip on the rim.
This is a mid 60's American Racing Equipment Magnesium 15x6" Torq Thrust.  Note the "A" shaped spokes, the distance of the spokes from the rim and the small lip.  This is a DEEP 6 inch wheel.
This is a mid 60's polished American Racing Equipment Magnesium 15x10 Torq Thrust.  Note the "A" shaped spokes, the width of the rim, the distance of the spokes from the rim and the small lip.
This is an American Racing Equipment Aluminum 15x6" Torq Thrust.  The 15x6" size was actually known as a "Sport Wheel", NOT a "Torq Thrust".  Aluminum Torq Thrust wheels were not mentioned in ads until June 1965 in Hot Rod Magazine.
This is the script on the back side of Aluminum American Racing Equipment wheels.
This is an Ansen 15x6" "Top Eliminator".
It has the early 60's American style round spokes and a mid 60's American style small lip.
